Obituary of Jean Pierre R. Mesidor

Please share a memory of Jean to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Our grandpa, father, friend, brother, counselor, Jean-Pierre Renel Mesidor, was born on august 12, 1943. Growing up in Ile-à-Vache in a family of ten children, he enjoyed every moment of life with joy. On the same island, he met his soulmate, his confidant and the love of his life, Clara Yacinthe. They had been married for 56 years of which union nine children were born. As a man of God, he made sure to transmit his values and his Christian belief to his children and grandchildren. Boss Yèyèy, as we call him, believed in education and made sure that his children and grandchildren understand the importance of education. He loved everybody and was a people person. A model, counselor, generous, passionate and lover of life, his company brought an unbelievable peace and joy to everyone around him. Like he used to say so beautifully: “Bondye pa yon titonton” (God is not a toy). He leaves behind his other half, Clara Mesidor, his 9 children, his 21 grandchildren and his 8 brothers and sisters. Until we see you again, rest well grandpa with the Most-High. Like Apostle Paul in 2 Timothy 4: 7-8, you can say with assurance “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.”
