Obituary of Roger Lorenzo Allen
February 17, 2017, at the ripe age of 45. He was born on August 17th, 1971 to the late Evelyn Campbell and Roger Allen Sr. in Washington, D.C. and was one of 14 siblings. He was surrounded and supported by his loving family and friends until his last day of life.
Roger was a diligent and accomplished student in the DC Public School System. At a very early stage in life, Roger set out to explore a new world far beyond the boundaries of his community. And he thoroughly enjoyed the richness of human potential by spreading love and laughter. He had a successful career working closely with family as an oven technician, spending sleepless nights getting the job done. Roger’s great spirit and zest for life would put a smile on anyone face that was in his presence. There was never a dull moment when Roger A.K.A “Moonie” was around, which was one of many attributes that family and friends loved about him. His character was one of a kind and will never be replaced by another.
Roger leaves behind to cherish his memories, his wife Trina Springs and their children Mylasia, Mykia, Lil Trina, Jameya, Adrian, Aaron, Aneeka, Sasha (deceased) and Lil Roger (deceased); five grandchildren; and two step-mothers Sharon Rector and Romaine Hodge. He is also survived by his siblings, Evelyn, Stacey, Tia, Patrice, Tonya, Tammy, Kesha, Shawn, Regina, Tanikia, Danielle, Markeith, Sabrina and Burnell (deceased). He will also be missed by his best friends Earl Johnson, Larry Moon and Phil; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and very dear friends.
Roger Lorenzo Allen will be sorely missed and fondly remembered. He has left the deepest of impressions on the hearts of so many.
In Loving Memory
Roger Allen
