Obituary of Hedrick Ellery Mitchell III
THE LIFE OF HEDRICK ELLERY MITCHELL, III
Hedrick Ellery Mitchell, III was born on January 20, 1982 in Washington, D.C., to Hedrick E. Mitchell, II and Anna Maxwell Mitchell.
He was educated in the District of Columbia Public School System and graduated from Anacostia High School, Washington, D.C. in the year 2000.
He was employed as a Store Manager at Metro PCS for a number of years. He also enjoyed his part-time employment at the FEDEX Field (CSC) where he faithfully watched and cheered for the Washington Redskins as a devoted fan. He also was a handyman by trade with plumbing and electrical work.
Hedrick was a dedicated father and he loved the family time he spent with his three children. He was raised by his father Hedrick E. Mitchell, II (deceased); his grandmother Shirley G. Mitchell (deceased); and his grandfather Hedrick E. Mitchell, Sr.
Hedrick was cared for during the stage of his illness by his loving brother Kyle T. Mitchell and his devoted cousin Cornell A. Poole.
Hedrick peacefully transitioned to the Lord on Sunday, May 31, 2020, at Providence Hospital (Capital Caring), Washington, D.C., after battling his illness for many years. Now he is resting peacefully.
Hedrick leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Anna Maxwell, his grandfather Hedrick E. Mitchell, Sr., his two brothers Kyle T. Mitchell and Derick Maxwell, his uncle Derrick K. Mitchell, his son Xavier Mitchell, his two daughters Anaya Mitchell and Makiah Mitchell, his two nephews Trevon Jackson and Jayden Nibbins, and one niece Khyle Mitchell. He will be truly missed by his loving family and friends.
