Obituary of Chiquita Elizabeth Spriggs

Chiquita Elizabeth Spriggs (Kita) was born in Washington, D.C., on February 10, 1983, to Sharon and Leo Spriggs Sr., and was called to the Lord’s Kingdom on April 29, 2017.

Chiquita was educated in the Prince George’s County School system, where she attended Bradbury Heights Elementary, Drew Freedom Middle, and Suitland High School where she received her high school diploma.

When Chiquita was growing up she loved the Lord, and was always smiling, singing, writing poems, doing hair, and helping people. Her short career included working in retail; in high school she worked at the McDonald’s off Suitland Road. Later she was employed in DC at Sonny’s BP AMOCO for 6 years. During her time at Sonny’s she touched so many people by witnessing and praying for them. For everyone who came and paid for gas at the window she extended her loving hand underneath the glass panel to pray for them.

Chiquita leaves a lifetime of love and memories to be cherished by her parents, Sharon and Leo Sr; two brothers, Leo Jr. and Marcus; one sister, Natalie; and two beautiful children whom she adored, Nataya and Samantha. She also will be cherished by her best friend, Louisa Harrell, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.
