Obituary of Nina O. Copeland
Nina Copeland was born October 14, 1952, in Richmond, Virginia to Algie and Lena Mae Copeland.
Nina moved to Washington, DC in the mid late 70’s. She became self-employed and started her own house cleaning business. She was also a model in the 80’s for Precola School of Charm as well as a driving instructor. After her husband, Eddie James Green, passed she moved to Suitland, MD with a vision of a house with many bedrooms to take care of foster kids and seniors. Nina then became certified and had many children and seniors in her care.
Through the years, Nina has done a lot in her community. She has provided home care and deliveries to all. There was one family that Nina delivered Thanksgiving and Christmas packages to for over 15 years. Nina was very strong and never showed pain only love and smiles. In the last few years, Nina began working with some amazing companies who dealt with home care and hoarder homes. She was loved by many.
She is survived by her two sons: John Algie Copeland and Damon Marcel Copeland; three grandchildren: Amiya Copeland, Danielle Copeland and Ayden Copeland; sister, Carolyn Hodges, brother-in-law, Stanley Hodges and niece, Portia Copeland.
