Obituary of Wayne Alan Grice

Please share a memory of Wayne to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Wayne Alan Grice was born to the late Virginia Moore on January 29, 1961 in Washington, D.C.

As a teen, Wayne grew up in Southeast D.C. with his Grandmother Esther Williams, affectionately known as “Momma” whom he was a caregiver to until her earthly departure. While living with Momma, Wayne attended H.D. Woodson Senior High School. It was there that he thrived in track and field and the JROTC. His pride, love, respect for the JROTC led to his enlistment in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1979. After serving his country in the Gulf War, Wayne was honorably discharged from the military in 1992.

From 1990 to 1999, Wayne was married to Sheria Wilson. They had three beautiful daughters together; Tyreia, Tyneise, and Tia.

Wayne Alan Grice is survived by his three daughters; Tyreia, Tyneise and Tia; his six grandchildren; Markaila, Deron, Michael, Michaiya, Charliee, and Jacob; his siblings; Karen and Fernando and many other loving family members.

Wayne will forever be remembered for his impeccable style, his love for the Baltimore Ravens, music and movies. But most importantly, he will be remembered for his enormous heart and how much he loved and cared for his family.
