My mother-in-law was a wonderful person. She exhibited grace, kindness, humility, love, and patience. She touched my heart in many ways. Sometimes, she would make a delicious vegan cake from scratch, a gorgeous blanket, a stylish purse, a lovely dress, a beautiful coat, or awesome Jamaican rice and peas, and I can't forget her delicious smoothies. The girls affectionately called her “Grandma with the strawberries”, because each time she came to visit, she always had strawberries with her.
I remember when I was pregnant with Brooke, and she made me my own pot of rice and peas, a nut loaf, and a big salad. I ate the whole pot of rice and peas. She always made jokes about how much I loved rice and peas.
My Mother-in-law had strength and smiled even on dark days. She had a wonderful relationship with her grandchildren, and they loved her so much. She loved them to pieces. She showed them how to plant food, eat healthily and enjoy hymns. They loved going to grandma’s house.
She baked with them. She recently bought them baking tools because they were supposed to bake cookies on their next visit, sadly, that never happened. She played with them and read with them. She wanted them to learn to sing hymns, praise God they love hymns. She encouraged them to memorize their memory verses and they did. It saddens me that she's not here anymore. I feel like we have been deprived of events that will never happen. Graduations, birthdays, holidays, weddings, recitals, etc. that won’t be celebrated with her. BUT I am encouraged to live right and follow what Jesus said. For if I do, I will see her again.
God gave me the most caring mother-in-law. I will forever be grateful for her friendship, her mothering love, and who she was as a Christian. She always said: nothing is worth losing heaven over. Forgive people, move on, and be kind to one another. She meant that and she practiced that. We must remain faithful in our hearts and in practice. Be encouraged.
In Jesus Name, Amen.
We all miss her so much! Having hope doesn't take away the pain.

I remember fondly the moment Momma Judith made me a believer that "Vegan" and "Red Velvet Cake" could be said in the same delicious sentence.
Me: You sure is Vegan cake this? Dis nuh taste Vegan.
Her: Kemaaaa... Kemaaaa ... I more than sure. Is I mek it and it's vegan cake, my dear.
Me: Well, dis ya, Vegan Cake, say one! I goin' need another slice, please.
We shared a hearty laugh and hug over that moment.
She knew food was my love language and she spoke cake fluently.
Today we laid this sweet lady to rest. She was such a ray of sunshine. We once joked that our cheeks could make us pass for Aunt and Niece, a compliment I would never correct if someone ever asked.
I'll miss her hearty laugh, her warm hugs, and her bright smile, but I am encouraged by the blessed hope that I'll see her soon again.
I don't know if there will be Vegan Red Velvet Cake in Heaven but if it's there and if she makes hers, I'm sitting on her side of the Welcome Table, so she can cut me me a slice.

My condolences to the family of Dr Judith Blair. This lady of God was a true example of God’s love. The first time I met her was when I visited the Community SDA Church in Englewood NJ. She greeted my family and I, with a warm smile and I felt her sincere love as she ushered us into church. From that initial encounter we would eventually become members of the church. She was such an awesome cook I still remember her showing up with her trunk full of delicious food whenever the Falcon Pathfinders Bible Bowl team visited Maryland. She was a fierce advocate of health and would support anyone who needed her help. What a blessing she was to everyone she came in contact with. I have no doubt on that great resurrection morn she will rise to be with Jesus in the sky. Let us remain faithful and be encouraged so that we to will be joined to be with Jesus too!

Judith my fondest memories with you as young people was staying up all night laughing, giving silly jokes, cooking and singing songs of old. One of our our favorites was" I'm getting married in the morning". I will miss you my sister/friend. Now I will have to make sure heaven is my goal. There are a few people I want to be reunited with. My condolences to Brother Matthew, Sister Jaimie, their two daughters, and all the family and friends of Dr. Judith Blair. May God comfort and keep you all, during these trying times, and give you peace.
I will never forget Dr. Judith Blair’s smile. I was at a Event, at Brother Matthew and Sister Jaimie’s house. I had the opportunity to meet Dr. Judith Blair. Her smile was radiant. Once I embraced her smile, it became infectious. It was so easy for me to reciprocate, and to forget about any adversity that I may have been facing at that time. I witnessed the love of God, shining from Dr. Judith Blair, on that day.
May she Rest In Peace, until Jesus Christ comes to take her home.

Dear Judith, We remember your smiles, and sweet soul, as well as your talent. What would we be without your spirited piano-playing, while we danced La Bamba. All those days singing for MBHS, with Miss Lewis. You were her favorite, of course! Thanks foe being sweet, forgiving and kind. No matter how I tried to annoy you, you just laughed at my silliness!. Thank you for your friendship. Your memory is a blessing, even though we didn’t reconnected as grown-ups. Condolences to your family, and friends.

Juds, I still can't grasp the fact I won't see you again. Growing up back home I loved trailing behind you wherever you were going, being the typical pesky little sister, lol. Even though we were far apart you were and will always be in my heart. I take comfort knowing you're free from pain and have moved on to a better place. Until I see you again rest well. Love always your sister Julianne

Ms. Judith was such a joy to be around. A loving and kind soul, energetic, funny and full of wisdom. During one of the last times I saw Ms. Judith, we talked about all things Vegan and I was so excited to hear everything she had to say. I am so grateful to have known her. May God's love continue to surround the Blair family and all those who knew her.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Blair in person, but we've had numerous conversation on the phone and she was just a beautiful spirit inside out.

I miss my Mother-in-law dearly. I remember when I had our first child in the hospital, she was there, she never left us. She and Matthew switched holding my hand and cheering me on. After our daughter was born, she started making a beautiful pink and white baby dedication blanket for her. The blanket was absolutely gorgeous. I almost called her the other day out of habit. I can't seem to process her not being here. Brooke and Victoria said they can't wait for the Lord to come because they really miss Grandma and want to see her again.
