Obituary of Dennis Eugene Mills
Dennis Eugene Mills was known to most as (Head). Dennis was the youngest of seven children born to Henrietta Murry and Walter P. Mills Sr. on September 30, 1961, he gained his wings on October 1, 2021.
Dennis attended DC Public Schools where he graduated from Theodore Roosevelt Senior High School. He joined the US Navy shortly after graduating from high school, where he served two and a half years until he was honorably discharged in March of 1983. He worked construction; he later received his food handling license while working for DC Central Kitchen. From there he became a Home Health Aide managing several houses for the mentally challenged adults.
Dennis started working for the Government of Arlington County as a Supervisor in the Covid Relief Hotel. Dennis worked for Metro Access for a short time, he then became a supervisor of the Treatment and Recovery Center of Arlington County.
Dennis was a very gentle, peaceful, funny, loving person. He was a loving father, grandfather, friend, and mentor he loved to help at any time.
Dennis was preceded in death by his mother Henrietta Murry and his father Walter P. Mills Sr., and his brother Walter P. Mills Jr., he leaves to cherish his memory two daughters, Dominique Mills and Imani Mills; his two step daughters, Tynisha Ellison and JoAnn Pollard; six grandkids MaQuella Mills, MarQuele Mills, MarQuan Mills, NaKhia Lewis, KeShawna Lewis, Jamar Ellison; his three sisters Alisha, Carlotta, and Sheila, two brothers Sharrow and Anthony and a host of nieces and nephews, and a host of loved ones and friends.
