Obituary of Steven Larry Jones

Steven Larry Jones 72 of Fishersville Va. Died 0ctober 11.2021 unexpectedly in Washngton,D.C. Steve was born 1/24/1949 he was the son of the late Jim Jones and Emily Jones. His parents preceded him in death by a brother Jeff Jones and a sister Nancy SISSION. Also the love of his life Carol C. Jones who he was married to for 30 years. Steve was survived by a nephew Mike Gillroy and wife Deri of Texas and 3 step daughters which he loved very much. Tina Hanger and husband Scott of Fishersville Beth Clemmer of Staunton and Tabatha Cox of Stuart’s Draft. He had 7 grandkids and 2 great grandkids. Steve was a diesel mechanic for over 40 years he worked in D.C. He leaves behind many friends. For almost the last 20 years he worked for precision truck repair and he leaves behind Danny and Max they were more than co workers. Steve talked of them often they were his family. Steve loved to be at the shop and cook food for the guys. Steve will be cremated and at later time he will be buried at Augusta memorial in Fishersville va .
