I am saddened at my cousin Norma's passing. We were in our 30s when we connected by phone 1st through our dearly departed cousin Bobbie Jean Martin. My dear friend, classmate, sister, and amazing Godmother to Reginald and Christina. We have shared good times, bad times, and crazy unforgettable fun times! From riding the bus down North Capitol Ave., being entertained by ‘Sam the Magician,’ and complaining about the walk up the hill to McKinley. The miles we lived apart never dampened our friendship, it only made it grow stronger. The endless conversations where I would say, ‘Norma – you sleep?’ and you would reply, ‘No, I was just resting my eyes!’ So, rest my sweet Angel, because this is not goodbye, this is until I see you again!
