Obituary of Anna Toussaint Duc
Anna Duc Toussaint, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away peacefully on February 14, 2022 at the age of 83, in Olney Maryland supported by family. She was born on March 13, 1938 in Saint Marc, Haïti to parents Léonie Exantus and René Duc. She married Clovis Philippe-Auguste and had six children. She worked as an office assistant, and in her spare time enjoyed sewing beautiful garments for her children and loved ones. After becoming a grandmother, she devoted her time to helping raise and care for her grandchildren both in Haiti, and later in the United States. During her stay in Florida, she was spiritually guided to Bethel Adventist Church in Orlando and became a very active member of the church after her baptism in 2003. She was loved by many and will be remembered for her infectious smile and laugh, her love of God, and her unique sense of humor.
Condolences to her children Katty Philippe-Auguste Jean and husband Guy Robert Jean, Clovis Philippe-Auguste and wife Stéphane Philippe-Auguste (Saint-Fleur) , Marjorie Philippe-Auguste, Myriam Philippe-Auguste Jean and husband Guy Evans Jean, Carlile Philippe-Auguste, and Alice Philippe Auguste; her grandchildren Stéphane Philippe-Auguste and wife Valerie Philippe-Auguste (Arnold), Katiana Adrien, Richard Adrien and wife Genelle Adrien (Quarles), Naomie Adrien, Anne-Myriam Adrien, Isabelle Philippe-Auguste, Michael Philippe-Auguste, Jonathan Philippe-Auguste, Annika Philippe-Auguste, Dominick Philippe-Auguste, Aaliyah Philippe-Auguste, Elizabeth Philippe-Auguste, Gaëlle Weithers, Christine Weithers, Christophe Weithers, Philippe Leconte, Emmanuel Philippe-Auguste; her six great-grandchildren Alexander Lambert, Maya Lambert, Kierra Philippe-Auguste, Kameron Philippe-Auguste, Arianna Philippe-Auguste, and Lilianne Adrien.
She is survived by siblings Rosette Toussaint, Jeanine Duc Solomonoff, Esta Duc Oscar, Raymonde Duc Caprice, Jacques Duc, Liline Duc, Reynold Duc, Fernand Duc, and many cousins, nephews, and nieces.
Due to Covid restrictions, the funeral service and burial is limited to immediate family members. A zoom link is provided for those who’d like to attend virtually.
