Direthea, please know that my prayers and love are with you and your family. So sad to hear of your mother's passing. I had the wonderful pleasure of meeting your mother only once and found her to be a sweet, elegant and beautiful lady. Know that God has received another of His angels home to receive her crown.

To think that Ronnie has passed is still mind blowing. I will forever miss her calls, our talks, her laugh, her voice, her prayers, her smile....
I am however comforted by the fact that she is no longer suffering and is at peace. She has left a great legacy to us all of service to God and Holiness for which I am eternally grateful!
I was reminiscing about her and in my mind saw her in church singing & testifying. I saw her talking about how much she loves the Lord with tears streaming down her face and her hair falling in her face as she talked. I remembered all of her gestures as she talked, sang & placed the piano. Remember her backing Pop up as he preached? All of those things came flooding back. Sidebar - She was always so beautiful! But I don't think she knew it
I loved Ronnie & will forever love her & the memories of her. You all have my sincere condolences. May your memories of her and God's peace comfort you now and always. I love you all!

Cousin Ronnie will always bi in my memories. I once shared with her that she was the reason I sing the way do. I remember watching her when I was a little girl belt out songs with no microphone. So when my dad started pastoring I sang like her. No mic needed. I know my cousin is resting at peace. She went from labor to reward but her legacy lives on in her children, grandchildren and all whose lives she touched. Gone but never forgotten. I’m praying for my family.

Our condolences and prayers go out to the entire Smith-Kelly Family. Mother Smith was an example of true holiness and sanctification coupled with the love of God. I may not have been able to pastor her very long when I came to Living Rock, but her words of encouragement to me and my wife personally, helped us to continue on to lead God’s people at 1805 Redfern Ave. God bless you family, and I am assured that her great legacy will continue to be enhanced in your lives.
Yours in Christ,
Pastors Dennis & Bernice Cook

When a loved one as close as your Mother is taken away, it pulls the inner strings of your heart and hurts deep within. But, God's love and His presence will eventually ease the pain and causes us to see and feel with more clarity and understanding. We don't know why He allows things to happen but we do know He knows what's best. Stay strong my sister and know that God has her in His hands forever - as He does you!
Our prayers are with you and your family.
Much love,
Gloria & (Marvin) Riddick
