Obituary of Dianne Johnson
Dianne Johnson, the oldest girl of eleven, was born July 27, 1953 in Haymarket, Virginia to the late Alberta V. Johnson and John W. Barbour. She received her wings on January 19, 2018. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Kevin Johnson, Eric Johnson, Inez Barbour, Jerome Barbour, Andrea Brown, and her best friend Carolyn Glover.
Dianne was known as DJ and Mother Johnson. She loved her family and friends. Dianne took her right hand of fellowship at New Samaritan Baptist Church in Washington, D.C. She received her GED, and started working as a security guard for the government in the seventies, where she retired from in 1992 after thirty years of service.
Dianne later moved to Virginia where she worked for Prince William County Public School System as a food service worker for the past twelve years. She was also a member of the Touch Hearts Christian Center, where she was called Mother Johnson. She was a part of many activities at the church. She enjoyed working at the daycare. The children all called her grandma.
Dianne leaves to cherish her memories, two sisters, Laverne Johnson, and Beverly Barbour; three brothers, William Johnson, Ricky Barbour and Ronald Barbour.
Dianne also leaves to cherish her memories, and to carry on, her six children, Cheryl Willis Hammond, Robert Jackson, Tabitha Wooldridge, Kendra Johnson, Shelley Scott, Kizzie Scott; two son-in-laws, Earl Hammond and Hugh Wooldridge, III; eighteen grandchildren, Lil Robert, Eric, Jayvon, Kenyon, Ian, Zarmar, Chanell, Dyshaun, Tyriq, Brook, Lanell, Kayleen, JB, James, Darren, Martez, Neraec, Caleb; her great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, close friend Patricia Price, and a host of other relatives and friends.
