Vanessa Lipscomb-Morgan was born in Shelby, North Carolina to Elwillie Littlejohn-Williams and William Charles Lipscomb.  Vanessa lived in South Carolina for three years then her parents moved to Washington, D.C., where she lived until age fourteen years of age.  During those years, Vanessa would spend every summer in South Carolina with her grandmother, Elvira Jeter.  She attended the family’s home church in Gaffney, South Carolina, under Pastor, Rev. Sanders, where she gave her life to Christ at age twelve.

After Vanessa finished Junior High School in Washington, D.C., she permanently moved back to South Carolina to live with her grandmother.  Vanessa graduated from Gaffney High School.  She returned back to Washington, D.C. after graduation, where she started he work with Woodward Lothrop in Washington, D.C.  Vanessa worked at Woodward Lothrop for fifteen years and had to retire in 1990 because of her health.

Vanessa stayed at home for a while, but soon she became bored and restless.  Vanessa has never been a do nothing person; therefore, she had to find something to do with her time.  She knew that she couldn’t do anything that required her to stand, so she decided to do daycare for her working friends.  Oh, what a joy those children brought to her life!  Seeing those children everyday motivated her to keep going in spite of her illness.

Vanessa was married to Dennis Morgan on August 16th 1997, which was filled with love and lots of fun.

Vanessa loved parties and eating out.  She was fun loving and very adventurous; always looking for excitement.  She enjoyed life to its fullest.  Her favorite foods were rice and gravy, pickles and Kool-Aid, Slim Jims, pickled pig’s feet, green apples and crabs.
Vanessa leaves to cherish her husband Dennis Morgan of fifteen years, loving mother, Elwillie Williams, Pop, Claudis Williams, two sisters, Michelle Williams and Renee A. Williams, one niece, TaShauna Greenwood, great aunt Maggie Galloway, aunt Neal Willis, uncles Bill, Harry and Gilbert Littlejohn and a host of cousins.
