She married the late Melvin Thomas Matthews, Sr.  From this union were four children.  Melvin, Kenneth (Deceased), Sheilaand Keesha. Audrey served the Lord and his people all her life. From singing in the choir at Dilda Chapel of Fountain, NC as a young child and later in other churches to include The Atlantic Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Milton Wilcher, Sr. (deceased) and Pastor Kenneth L.
