Born in Washington, DC on May 14, 1942 to the late Lillian Mary (Mae) and George W. Smith, Sr.  He leaves a lifetime of love and memories to his wife Yamah Vincent, his children, VivianSmith-Porter (Eric), George W. Smith, III (Mary), KiamesaNath, Laura Smith, Donnell Smith (April), 5 grandchildren, 3great-grandchildren, as well as many beloved friends that he considered family.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his three brothers Ronald Smith, Joseph Smith, John Wheeler and his oldest son, Jovon M. DaMour.

George was very sociable, with a great sense of humor and was enjoyed by all he came into contact with.  He relished the time spent with his family and friends.  He was very generous and would give you his last.

George was a hard worker who loved working with his hands.  He was considered a jack of all trades.  There was not a project that George could not master.  His children would occasionallyaccompany him on his jobs, where George taught them at an early age how to paint, use a hammer and a screw driver.

He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.  May his soul rest in everlasting peace.
